These kids, they keep growing. I suppose it’s inevitable. No matter how much I love each age and each stage… they grow.
Last week was a big milestone for us. For starters, it was the last day of first grade for Alex. Just look at the difference between his first day and last day of first grade!
Not only did he decide to grow out his hair this year, but he grew in some teeth and is quite a bit taller. And judging by this photo, his confidence grew as well.
And then this young lady graduated from Pre-K. The first one in our family to do so. It marks a very big transition for her, moving from the Pre-K room at her preschool to the school-age room. And in the fall, she’ll be starting Kindergarten.
Her brother, father and I attended her graduation ceremony, followed by a lovely party with live music for dancing. It was so much fun. I’m very proud of her and am looking forward to her starting school in the fall (even if I am slightly freaked out by the thought).
Just love these kiddos. Here’s to the beginning of what I hope will be a fabulous summer.
